Projector Error

Please help if you can.

Since upgrading to Director 8.5.1 (from 8.5 on Win XP), my projectors start for 1 second, then abruptly abort.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. I even set my computer to an earler time (system restore), then reinstalled it,and I'm still getting this problem. Yet no error message pops up.

If you can help in any way, I'd be grateful.
