I am in the process of starting my PM training, and need some advice on which track to pursue. I am in IT/Telecommunication and see that Comptia has a Certification " Project+" available. Is this an accepted Cert. in the industry?

The most universally accepted certification for Project Management is the PMP, Project Management Professional. It is certified by PMI, Project Management Institute.

In the UK you might also consider Prince 2.
