We have a Project Manager who would like to be able to assign tasks to users from MS Projects 2007, and be notified when the task is complete. Is there some way to port Project assignments to Outlook tasks, and be notified when the task is completed? I would like to try and work with the resources we currently have, like Outlook, Sharepoint services. If it can't be done with what we have, what would we need. I was reading up on MS Project Server, but that would mean an additonal purchase.

I appreciate any advice.
