Project Central Woes!

I am a new user of Project Central and am trying to upload a project.

I have been told that the way to do this is as follows;

set up tools/options/workgroup settings
set up ODBC data source to server
open project to be saved
'save as' project using ODBC to server.
login as administrator and save project to server
login to project central and view portfolio

I can do all this and it seems fine, but in portfolio view there is a red no-go sign in the info column and I cannot view the project from within central.

Anything wrong with the method above ?

What am I doing wrong ?

Done all that, the project loads and I can see it in the portfolio view, but cannot view it from Project Central as described above
