Project Central Reporting

Has anybody ever tried using a reporting tool (such as Cognos) over Project Central? I have been asked to investigate our current manual (copy and pasting data from Projects (.mpp's) month end reporting using the data within Project Central. I know that it is a SQL Database and I have the Database Design Diagram but I am struggling to find actuals within the database.

Has anyone had any type of experience with this kind of thing? Any help would be appreciated.
