Project and None Project Server Database

We have a SQL Database that serves out SalesLogix implmentation. Soem people in the office was wonderign if Project can so standard SQL Calls to the database for peices of information.. Can it be done with a non-project database?

You can use macros in Project to access another database. This would use VBScript code to perform the required functions.
