Project 98 global.mpt error

Hi guys

A user here has a problem with Project 98. When he opens the application, it says something about global.mpt being corrupt and unreadable. If he cancles that, the program seems to run fine. We have copied over the global.mpt from another system running Ms project (without the error), but it comes up with the same error as if we had done nothing!

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Burchill,

I am not very sure about Project98, can you take down the error ?

This global.mpt is a template file and it will not contain any tasks, resources etc. Therefore, it will seem like you have done nothing.

the full error is:

Try opening a backup copy of the global template file.

Any ideas? As I said, we have replaced it - and still get the same.

I really am not very sure about Proj98.
My suggestion for you is to actually visit the Knowledge Base Website By Microsoft(MSDN).
