Hi, I have a design that I am trying to create that calls for progressively larger dots on a spiral path. I am having trouble coming up with this. I thought I could do it with periods, gradually increasing their point sizealong a path. Unfortunately, there is some odd character spacing issue. Any ideas as to how I could accomplish this?

Thanks!

Can you just use the circular path tool to create the dots?

Sure. The only problem that I have here is making the dots progressively larger. Can that be done easily? I may just be having a brain fart and can't think of the Illustrator command to do so.

Create one circle, make it the color and size you want. Hold down Alt, click in the circle and drag. This will create another circle exactly the same as the first one. Do this as many times as you need to to create all the circles you want. Now select the second circle, go to Object>Transform>Scale. Put in like 115% into the dialog box. This will make that second circle a little bigger than the first. Now choose the third circle and do the same thing. And so on until you've got a series of increasingly bigger circles. Then you just have to line them up the way you want. Use the guides to get the proper spacing.

Yes?

Make your spiral the way you want it to look.
Make your first dot as small as you want.
Make your last dot as big as you want.
Blend the two dots with as many dots you want in between.
Select the spiral and the blended dots then tell the blend tool to replace the spine.
