Quick question.. Progression 76.300C SQL. Is it ok to install Progression client on a server with both SQL and Macola installed on it?

Yes, I have done this many times. Never had a problem. What does Exact say about it?

Guess it's ok - at one point in the past I think there were issues with it, but it's an accepted practice now. Thanks

You may get conflicting answers from Macola themselves, but this has been done many times with no issues. A for instance, we have one client who uses the SQL/Macola server as a terminal serivces box. Works fine for them. I don't recommend that particular setup but I have the client installed here on the SQL/Macola server for quickly checking macola operations. Absolutely no problems from that.

All the posts on this are correct. You can install the local client but it is not recommended that you use it in a production manner. Occasionally using to test things is fine. Even a small amount of user traffic will work depending on the number of other users in at the same time. It is mainly a resource issue.
