We have just upgraded (never mind why [neutral]) to Macola Progression version 7.7

We had been led to believe that Flexibility 7.7 would also be available but were not all that concerned when it wasn't as apparently Flexibility 7.6.400 would work just fine.

We are now finding that screens that have additional functionality (via flex) are taking 45 - 50 seconds to load. [ponder]

Once we "remove" the flex code the screens load instantaneously (well, normally).

The whole she-bang worked just fine in Progression 7.6.400 with Flex 7.6.300 - but is now a bit of a crock [yinyang].

We've given up expecting the release of Flexibility 7.7 but were wondering if anyone is aware of the problem described above and/or if there is a resolution to the issue.

Try turning off your anti-virus temporarily and see what happens. I have seen this problem before related to anti-virus software. If this resolves the issue you may want to create an exclusion for the macsql\vbaprj directory on the server. In addition you may need to turn off the tamper proofing in your anti-virus product. This feature has a great deal of problems with applications that are not in the Anti-virus' normal testing cycle. Macola and many other products like it, are not.

I know this is totally unrelated to the situation you presented, but please try it and let us know the results. If this does not do the trick we can look at other possible sources.
