I have a subform with a textboxes where I put in time (eg 2,50 = 2 hour 50). The total is represented above in a textbox. I am looking for something to make this more visually. Is a progress bar a good ID or are there other proposals or available objets ?

Regards and Thanks.

You want to display total time (which sounds like a sum of the times in your textboxes) correct?

IMO, progressbars (and in a more static sense, pie charts) display a value of a value i.e. 2 of 10.

Do you have an upper bound of the time with which your total time can be compared? If not then a progressbar or any similar data representation seems pointless.

I'd personally not use a progressbar for this sort of exercise, I'd generally stick with the total box.

Hope this helps (and that my post made sense!) [wink]

Thanks HarleyQuinn,

Why I wish to make it visible. To easily compare time estimated and time task done.

TASKTIMEEST ***************************************
TAKSTIMEFINISCH ***********
TASKTIMETODO ****************************

But perhaps while doing this I think I can use textboxes where a certain character is duplicating (eg one * stands for 1 hour). To do this I can create a function.

Seems you do have a upper limit to compare against (time estimated) you could use a progress bar to display the percentage of time taken to actually complete the task.

That would be a feasible solution in this case.

Hope this helps
