Progress Bar - Unknown duration 3

I am performing some operations (XML requests to Quickbooks) which have an unknown duration. What I need is to display to the user some sort of animation that shows them that it is performing an operation.

Ideally, I am looking for something similar to the one that Windows displays when you go into Start > Search (or find) > For Files and Folders and perform a search.

I am currently using an animated text control (TTextAnimator) which I downloaded, but it looks too tacky for a professional looking application.

I you have any ideas, or can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

the TAnimate component supports AVI files, if you have the tools available to create a looping AVI to indicate progress. The other alternative is to use a GIF which also supports animation - but I don't think Delphi comes with a GIF viewer built in - try
