Progress bar or any activity while calling the component

Hi
I have a problem. While calling MTS component and waiting for the response, I display a status bar message and vbhourglass mouse pointer. I would like display a progress bar or any nice graphical stuff. My problem is once I call MTS object,the control moved. So I cann't increase progress bar value or anything else.
Program has to wait there. I can simply display a status bar saying "Please Wait .." with a hourglass.
Anybody has got good suggestion to display a nice graphics or progress bar while calling a MTS component?

Most people just throw the user an animated .gif to watch for awhile. About the same as an hourglass if you ask me though.
