Progress bar and printing

When I'm printing files, I want connect a progress bar so the user can see how long it will take. My problem is how to connect the progress bar with the printing?

You better forget it. You can check the progress of actions you control, like for .. next loops. When it comes to system processes you'll only get notifications when the processes finish. So you don't know the state when the process runs.

If you were printing multiple pages, you could use the progress bar for that. But to have it reflect the status of a page in progress, sorry.
