Programs in startup not initiating

Here's a good one for you, running WIN2K,How do you determine if your shell(explorer.exe) is running ok. When the system boots not all programs initiate and the only way to help
resolve some of this problem is to terminate EXPLORER.EXE and then re-execute explorer,after this task is completed,you may then execute all the functions that were part of the startup and Then ONLY evrythingseems tobe normal..
 
Remove all your items out of your startup and see if EXPLORER.EXE still crashes.

Put them back one by one and see when it stops again.

It sounds like one of your startup apps is causing a problem. Also check your Event logs to see if something is throwing an error. New Zealand, a great place to visit.
