Programming Windows Applications

Hi, im 12 years old. I have been using computors ever since i was 3. I finally got a C++ book. It covers alot about console applcations, but no windows applications. I downaloded serveral compliers(for variety) online. Windows Vissual 2005 has a templete for Windows Applcation. The file dosent make seanse to me.
CAN SOMONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THE BASICS OF WINDOWS APPLCATION PROGRAMMING?

You could do worse than get Petzolds "Programming Windows" book.

It explains the basis of Window Programming.
