Programming "Line 801 -I" to a Button on an Extension

Using a Merlin Magix system & I want to program one POTS line (outside line / trunk) per button on a particular extension (x212). Currently the only extension that has a POTS line per button is x210 - but no one sits there! When I get in to the programming mode on x210 the buttons with the POTS lines appear in the display as "LINE 8## -I" (where ## is 01 thru 11). How do I replicate that programming on another extension?

I've tried the PickUp feature, messing around in the LineTrunks, reading thru Avaya manuals, etc etc but nothing seems to work. Actually I managed to re-program one button to "70 POOL -I" and can't undo it!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The lines are in pools, and the extension that has the individual lines is the Operator extension, which is the only type that can have them individually.

Swap 210 and 212, renumber if you want to keep the extension numbers the same.

To remove the Pool 70-I button, go back to Extensions, Lines and Trunks, 212, and touch JUST line 801.

-- Worked PERFECTLY! Thank you!

-- I *thought* the only extension that was allowed the individual lines was the Op ext but someone told me otherwise, hence my failed attempt.

Swap 210 and 212, renumber if you want to keep the extension numbers the same.
-- So you're saying 210 doesn't HAVE to be the Op extension? I can make 212 the Op ext? I thought the Op ext HAD to be 10 / #10....!

The Operator position has to be the 1st port on the card, but you can locate it anywhere you want, and number it anything you want. The only restriction is that the Operator must be a 4424 set.

So, go to the terminal blocks, swap the jumpers for 210 and 212, unplug the phones and swap them at the desks, then in programming, renumber 210 to 7100, renumber 212 to 210, and renumber 7100 to 212. Change the names of the extensions in Labeling, and you're done!
