I have an Excel table that is being auto updated by a macro that imports the new table after being given the file location.

I want to know how to override or "delete" the data instead of making a new table. In other words the name of the table is "Starting Month" and every time it re-links, it creates a "Starting Month 1"..etc. new table. I just want the new table to replace the old so how would I set the macro to do this? Currently it's set to "transferSpreadsheet"...linked type.

Thanks.

Is deleting the .xls file an option ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

No thats not an option. Isn't there a way to NOT do an append, but do the same thing except delete and THEN append data. Because it's a linked table, I guess this makes things difficult.
