As I state in the subject, I can't seem to program numbers into one-touch buttons in MA4000. The possibility is there, its help function also describes it on how to do, but it doesn't work for me.
Basically, in MA4000, you pull up a phone, and you pull up its button programming screen. You pick a button, you make it a one-touch button (code 49), and a field becomes available where you could enter a phone number the button supposed to call. Storing numbers in one-touch keys can be done from the phone, but I'm trying to do this from MA4000. If a number is already stored in a button, the MA4000 is able to read and show it to me. But I can't edit it or put in a new number...
The error message I get is:

"One-touch dial and Button Data(AKYD) can't be changed at the same time. Please set the one-touch dial once again after terminal restarts. Save was successful".

But I keep running into this. I tried different browsers, to no avail.

Has anybody solved this in the past?

It may be a bug, but most likely it's a software/firmware issue. Check your MA-4000 version, the system version and the firmware on the circuit card. Updates may be necessary to any or all. See if you can find a MA-4000 bug list. That product had many throughout it's life.

Sorry but MA4000 is an overpriced piece of C%@P. Better to learn the MAT commands and do it directly!

Thank you for the replies. Yes, the MA4000 is not perfect, and I use the combination of MA4000 and PC Pro to manage the system. Is there a PC PRO command to enter phone numbers into one-touch buttons?

I do not think there is one. Remember station speed dial memory is on the circuit card and not in the system memory. You can back it up and load it with command BOSD.

Well, the phones I'm working on are all SIP phones, DT710/730 NEC IP phones. Those don't have their circuit card. LOSD command shows everything that's programmed into the buttons, but I can't find any command to edit the numbers in the buttons... MA4000 seems to be the only way - if only it worked.

IP phones are programmed differently. They use the menu's under the rotary button at the bottom right to set up the personal directory. You can also log into the phone using ie to set it up. You need to know the IP address of the phone and the log in ID. Once in, you can program up the buttons yourself.
