I'm looking for some advice on line key programming.

The system is an NS700 - 3 x SIP lines with NT680 handsets. At the moment, all calls ring to a hunt group.

I've had a strange request from a customer. He is looking for 2 calls only coming into the hunt group and wants his fax number added to a button on his handset for outgoing calls only.

is this possible to do on Panasonic?

Any help appreciated.

How is the sip trunk routing the calls. Is it the DDI table or dil

Are all the sip trunks registered on one user / password

Calls go through a DDi table.

Sip trunks are registered to one User/password.

You could if you only had 2 phones in the group.

Sip trunks don’t normally cost per channel just the initial license, why does he only have 3 lines

You would really need another sip user account for the fax but that doesn’t guarantee because of calls coming in as ddi could still come in on the fax account especially if it is the same provider

They had an old system on a ISDN2 circuit with a single number DDI for fax. they didnt want to increase lines as they have 3 members in the office taking calls.

they want a maximum of 2 calls into the main number at any one time and if a user wants to dial out they want them to select another line key (line 3) on their handset which would send out the fax number.

its a very strange but historic set up and ive tried to convince him that he has 3 lines with the main number but that hasn't had the desired effect.
