I have a 2006 set and a 2616 set on an OPTION 11C phone system and I was wondering if any one can tell me how to change the primary key in both cases to be one way hot lines to our reception. In the manuals, the programming is not very specific even though it offers 7 different ways with out defining what the (for example) the nn in:

nn HOT I dd num m

WHat would the easiest way to program a one way Hot line set up.

2006 phones Key 0 can only be SCR. This cannot be changed. For the 2616, use the following format:
Key 0 Hot d x yyyy (where x is the number of digits and y is the number).
For example key 0 hot d 4 4000 would be a hotline to 4000.
Hope this helps.

Hello pacojonezl40

Thank you for your suggestions - they worked bang on. Just so you know, it worked fine with 2006 sets. All is programed and good to go

Thanks again

I'm sorry. For some reason I had M3902 single line phone stuck in my head and thats what I was thinking of when I posted earlier. As long as the 2006 works also.

My question to you would be:
Why are you wasting a 2616 set for a hotline.
If you just need a hotline, put it on a single line analog set. Save yourself some green.

the 02, or the 06 can have a single line, it can be a hot

key 1 hot d 4 5454.. that's a direct 4 digit hot line. one way to dn 5454

I know it can be another key, but the initial question was regarding the Key 0.
