I have a NI2-Bellcore PRI circuit. The default 10 digit customer's number is posting as the Calling Party's Number. That number is no-where to be found in the programming on the PRI card.
The LEC says it is NOT coming from him, and he has never been caught in a lie before.
How can I find and remove the default customer number so that customer's DID numbers will post instead?

Do you mean the default 10 digit customers number is being shown as the calling party's number on all outgoing calls?

IF so look under trunk programming for ISDN and outgoing call programming for CPN substitution.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

The LEC says it is NOT coming from him, and he has never been caught in a lie before.

First time for everything then. Even if the Telco is not configured to provide caller ID. They will present the main billing number on calls if none is provided by the PBX.

To prevent this you must provide a number.

To provide a number you must configure the CPN tables on the PRI card via IMAT.
