I have 2 mitel sx2000 noded together, with callxpress linked off node A. I am looking to remove Node A from the network and Make node B a standalone, but can't figure out how to configure the voice-mail link in Node B so i can directly attach The Callxpress. The Mitel books i have talk about message center but nothing about voice-mail. Anybody know where i can start?

Thank you

Scott

Take a look at the voicemail pilot hunt group and take a note of all the extn numbers.
If you have opsmanager you might be quicker to move these using it.
However once you have all the numbers take a look at what free port capacity you have on SX2000 B as you will need to reprogram these and the Hunt group on this system.

If the systems are clustered together then you might have to remove all the numbers from the remote directory, if they are link numbered then it should be straight forward enough to reprogram the extns
If you have a 1308 Krone frame you will need to rejumper the ports to the Callxpress or if you have a voice patch panels then repatch to it.

Thank you Supernova99, Sorry about the delay i left for vacation after i posted this. The problem i have is that this was all set-up years before i was brought in. Nobody did any documentation so nobody seems to know the hunt-group pilot number for voice-mail. Is there a way i can list all hunt-group pilot numbers? The only voice-mail number i know is the digits you dial to access your voice-mailbox.

Thank you

Scott

You don't say how the CallXpress is integrated to the 2K. (T1, DNIC via D82, ONS)

Regardless, the number you dial to access your voice mail box should be the hunt group pilot number. Do a LOCATE NUMBER xxxx (where xxxx = the number you dial to access voice mail) from the maintenance command line. For example, if 5900 is the voice mail access number, it should look like this:

LOCATE NUMBER 5900
The number refers to a hunt group.
-or-
The number refers to a system speedcall.

If the number is a hunt group you will need to re-create the hunt group on PBX "B" after moving the appropriate ports (depending on the integration type) so they can be included as members of the new VM huntgroup.

If the number is a system speedcall you should be able to find the actual hunt group number in the system speedcall table.
