I AM TRYING TO SET UP WHERE WHEN A OUTSIDE CALLER REACHES A SUBSCRIBER MAILBOX AND WANTS TO GO TO ANOTHER EXSTENSION

I am not at a system I can try this, but I do think this is correct - Have the subscriber mailbox say in his/her message, "to reach another extension, press * and then enter the extension".

Once in a mailbox they can "0" to another mailbox or hunt group. Open mail box, press admin, press 5 and change "0"

As long as you have the Return to AA prompt checked then anyone who is in mailbox can press * to back up to the AA again to make another selection.
