Enter the IP address of the BCM in your web browser and go from there. If you haven't assigned an IP to the BCM yet, you can hardcode an IP of 10.10.11.2/255.255.255.0 on your PC. Connect a crossover cable between your PC and the LAN 2 port of the BCM and enter
In that case, leave your PC configured for DHCP. Plug into the OAM port on the BCM 50 (port farthest on the left, probably labelled 0). Enter 10.10.11.1 in your web browser. Click on Administrator Applications, and download Element Manager. Install the app, then connect using the IP of 10.10.11.1 and the default username/password.
Can't emphasize enough that you'll want to load all applicable patches on the system before cutting it over.
Connect to the oam port it is set for dhcp so make sure your pc is to obtain ip address automatically, you do not need a crossover cable. Open your web browser and type in 10.10.11.1 in the address bar, it will open the web page there should be a link that will allow you to download element manager. Install element manager and open it. Go to the network tab up top and then new network element, ip address will be 10.10.11.1, user id is nnadmin, and password is PlsChgMe!. Then on the left side you should see network elements click the + you will see an ip address, click it you shouldnt have to put the user name and password but if you do it is the same as above, then click connect.
