We have an NEC IPS 2000 and use NEC DTR-8D-1 phones. I need to program a soft key on one of the phones so that the receptionist can transfer calls directly to a users voice mail box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which voice mail system do you have? AD-8 card, or Active voice, AD-40/64/repartee?

The procedure with those voice mail systems is: press TRF, dial the VM pilot number, after it answers, enter the mailbox number, then press 2 and hang up.
There may be other options depending on what VM system you have.
