Hello all, I am currently in the middle of an install and I have a 4 port flash. In my former Norstar days I used to program the voicemail with my laptop because it was waaaay faster than punching in names with the dialpad. My problem is that I don't remember the login. I have used administrator and operator, but they don't get me to the menus I want. Any Ideas? I have gotten spoiled that last few years never having to program a system through the set and it is driving me nuts.

Thanks,

Simon

I think its sysmgr

Sounds like you're trying to log into the phone? You mentioned that you used to use your laptop? Are you using the laptop or the phone? To log on the phone it would be Feature 983, Log: 1020000(3digit exts) 10020000(4 digit exts). I hope this helps.

I take that all back I should have read the title of your thread.

Thanks guys, I give the SYSMGR a try on Friday when I go to site and see what happens.

If you are not using the serial port, from a set you use Feature 983 and then the login id depends on how many digits the extentions have example 3 digit ext login is 1020000 4 digit 10020000

Yeah I know that, but being a pbx guy I am too lazy to program through a two line display and enter names with the dial pad when ther is the possibility of using a full screen.

Hello,
I was curious,do you need a terminal emulator program on the laptop like ProComm or does Nortel have a program that has to be used?
Thanks,
Dmac,

Any terminal program should work. I use Hyperterminal. By the way, the settings for the com port on a Flash are 1200 baud, 8 data, 1 stop, no parity. Brian Cox
