i have recently installed a cisco vpn architecture and have had users exeriencing " checking credentials" hanging on their client.

I tried to test a user on an xp workstation on my remote LAN ( connected by said vpn to hq) and it worked first time , tried a second xp machine... worked first time.... subsequent logins fail 100% of the time on both machines.

connectivity between lan's over the vpn is ok.

can anyone explain why subsequent logins are failing with this " checking credentials" message. I am not a citrix expert but need to come up with a solution to this issue.

appreciate any advice.... version 8.00 client

Try starting a telnet session to port 1494 from the client to the citrix servers.

You should get an ICA^ICA^ICA^ output if all is OK.

What sort of VPN kit are you using at the client end and do you use things like virtual adapter addresses etc.

It might be a routing issue or possibly firewalling on the VPN device.

Mike
