Is there a way to programmatically control how an Access 2000 app starts up and is there an event for it when it shuts down?

bbarr,

Near the top / right / center of this window is:

GO! Advanced
Search

If you select that and perform a search using keywords like Startup and Shutdown, you'll be rewarded with a long list of threads that should prove informative.

Startup is straight-forward - Look in Help for Startup.

Shut down is more complicated because Each user shuts down. Depending on what you're doing, you might need to know when the last User exits...

HTH,
Bob [morning]
