Hi guys,

I'm a network admin and only know the basics about programming.

I was wondering if there was anyone with Visual Basic/Exchange programing experience.

Our programer is claiming that we must go into Active Directory and change all of our legacyExchangeDN because his code uses this variable and assumed it was the same as the Exchange email allias.

We have approximatly 150 users who have legacyExchangeDN that would need to be changed if he were correct. So, this isn't something I want to do.

Does anyone know why his code would require using the legacyExchangeDN field and how hard it would be to use a different variable - like email allias?
Thanks,
SJ

The programmer could use ADSI and an ADODB recordset to change the legacy DNs. Won't this cause problems if there are still legacy servers in the organisation, eg if you're moving a mailbox?
