Program to "hold" when I change the directory

Hello Guys

Paradox 11

I cannot get the program to "hold" when I change the directory. When I set the directory in the project viewer screen, it stays as long as I do not shut the computer off. As soon as I turn off the computer and turn it back on, the working directory reverts to the "my documents" file. Also un-check the strt up wizard so it does not appear each time I turn on, but it is always back.

You can use the startup icon to set the working directory as you launch Paradox.

The working directory information is saved to Registry

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\Paradox\10.0\Configuration\WorkDir]
@="C:\\DATA\\PDOXAPPS\\MYAPP\\"


For some reason, unknown to me, this setting (and some other Paradox related settings) seems to be restored on startup / login on some XP machines.

Thanks Tony,

I found the solution:

1. Close all applications.
2. Click Start, Run.
3. In the box, type: MSCONFIG and press OK
4. From the System Configuration Utility dialogue select the Startup tab
5. From the Startup tab, click Disable All, click Apply, click OK.
6. Restart computer.
