program to print and email reports

I have the task of printing several reports via Adobe Acrobat and emailing the *.PDFs to different managers. I was contemplating writing a program(either a batch file or C++) to automate the process, but I was puzzled by how to generate the PDFs in the program. Any tips will be much appreciated.
