Program running 16-bit, but its 32 bit

I made a backup of a CD, however the programs on that backup CD think that they are msdos 16 bit apps.
Of course they are 32bit, but when they are run i get the usual NTVDM error dialogue.
How do I change the properties of those programs back to 32bit.
