An application program Microsoft Works was installed locally on a XP Machine. The uses is able to use the program while logged on locally. When the user logs on the to domain however the program opens up but will not allow the user to run the task builder under cards option.

The programs runs perfectly if the domain administration accesses it.

Do not want to join the user to the Domain admin group.

Any ideas.

You can also make the domain user a member of the LOCAL admin group. There's no need to give them domain admin rights.

Right-click on My Computer and go to Manage.
Under "Local Users and Groups" click on Groups
Double-click on the "administrators" group to modify.
Click the ADD button and add the domain user as

domain\username

Good luck,

It's not a good idea to just give users admin rights because of a poorly written app. They will then have the ability to install whatever they want, knowingly or unknowingly(spyware, trojans...)

Just a thought,

John
