When I turn on my computer I can select and run any program and use all the features of the program selected. My problem is with one program only, and the problem occures when I finish using that one program and exit from it. When I exit from it the desktop appears which is okay and normal. Now comes the problem, if I try to go back into that program, or into Windows Explorer, or even try to Exit and shut down the computer, it does not work, unless I hit (Control Alternate Delete), then I have to" end task not responding," which is that one program I just came from. Then the computer works okay.
I have tried uninstalling that program and reinstalling it, but to no avail, the same problem exists. Is there something else I can try ?
Thanks for any responses. Irv.

The program is Juno, And I "end task" On Juno( not responding).

Irv,
because in past i had similar problems i'd suggest you to try this:

1)When exit the program, use the Exit command of the program, do not use Alt-F4.
2)Install the program in the path that suggests you during the installation procedure.

Instead of installing it in its default path....progarm files and so on.Try installing Juno in another working directory

I want to thank all you kind folks for responding to my posting, and for giving me the courage to try various suggestions to my problem. It's nice to know that there are helping hands out there. Thanks to all.
What I did was to go to the"add/remove program" in the control panel, then I deleted the Juno from the list .Then I went to the start button on the task bar, and clicked on Find, and then files and folders. Then I typed in the word "Juno". And much to my surprise there were still some files of Juno still there. (I was under the impression that when programs/applications were deleted from the add/remove programs, that all files associated with that program were deleted). Am I missing something here? So I then selected all those Juno files in find and deleted them. My next step was to reinstall Juno,
However as someone suggested, I did not reinstall it in the same place. I reinstalled on my second hard drive. Every thing went smooth with the installation and now all is working okay, problem fixed. The only thing I am not sure about is, was it the deleting files in Find after removing the program, or reinstalling the Juno in a different location, or a combination of both that did the trick?
Also do you always have to go to find after deleting from add/remove programs?
Irv.

Some software (the well written ones) will truly remove any traces when uninstalled. Unfortunately MOST software isn't so thorough, and thus a "find and delete" is necessary.
Want a real scare? Open regedit, and do a search for "juno". I'll bet there are over 100 entries... Cheers,
Jim
