Program deleted, yet icon still there! 1

Hi,

I have an HP Ipaq 2210 running Pocket PC 2003.

I've removed several programs from it, yet in the programs menu, the program icons are still visible. When selected they say that the program can't be found but i can find no way of removing the icons.

If anyone can help me out here that would be great.

Open file explorer and tap your way to the windows folder and look in the programs folder to see if they are there. If not they might be in the program files folder under My device. And if all that fails you will need to check the registry, and you need a third party app for that.

Can't see the icons in the areas you suggested.

Would a hard reset cure the problem? I've not got anything on there that i cant re-load.

Yes, a hard re-set will clean up everything. Something must be in the registry causing your problem.

Before you do that, try looking in the Start Menu folder under Windows. There you will find some other folders where icons can live.
