I am new to phone systems and we have a Legend 7.0. The night service is alread set up to be turned on and off with a button on the console, and I want to set up a daytime attendant to do the same thing, but I'm unsure on how to go about doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I will assume you have a Merlin Messaging or Legend Mail. You can use the same button that you use for night service to enable the day menu. You just need to modify the schedule controller in the mail system to be controlled by time of day, not by the switch. This means that the button will simply send calls to the auto attendant whenver you want. It will be up to the schedule controller in the voice mail system to identify when to play the day menu and the night menu. To setup the schedule that identifies when the night greeting should start and stop in the mail, log into the sys admin mbx and go to the schedule controller and setup you schedule. Then go to auto attendant and create and record your day auto attendant. If you you view the flowchart in the back of the messaging system manager guide, this will make more sense.

Thanks for the info GoKings. I had been looking at the flowchart, but didn't know you could program the button to respond to multiple AAs. That should do the trick.
