I was curious if anyone could describe to me how to manually add a program to the program access list(the list with the check marks) in the Free Version of Zone Alarm.

A friend of mine is using the free ZoneAlarm and when using the software Quick Books the computer freezes up. When they open the program access list the only thing listed is the Quick Book Updater not the actual application. They were never asked if they wanted this app to access the internet or act like a server.
I asked them if they could add this app to the list but they said they couldn't figure out how to add them.

any help would be great!

specs:
OS: Windows ME
ZoneAlarm: Free Version
Quick Books: 2003 Basic

Sounds like a job for the QuickBooks support team to me

Their application (Updater) is looking to make requests on the net, and probably should be allowed, but until its known exactly what it does ... I'd wait

AFAIK, ZA only requests clearance for programs as they make a request, so the QB program isn't accessing the net, but it could be using another application to do it
