I need to add some additional extentions. The ports are supposedly setup and connected to the BCM, I need to know how to assign a DN to a specified port or change a port number. The system was setup and in place long before me, and the installer is long gone. The ports are labled, both on the patch and noted on the BCM, but I can figure out how to either find what DN is assigned to that port, or configure that port for a specified DN. I know the physical port #, but can't find it in the web interface. If I plug a phone into it, I get nothing, no dial tone or anything, leaving me to believe the port was never setup. The port next to it is active and alive and connected on the same cable pair, but this one and the 6 after it are all quiet leaving me they were never setup.
Someone Please help.

If it's on a patch pannel you need to determine how the pannel is punched comming from the BCM. Digital ports come from the card in 16's. 16 ports at a time. some times the pannel has just 16 and sometimes if it is a 32 port card they are 1-32 using the 24 on the pannel then down to the net pannel. If it's labled it should read like 201-217/271-232.To test take the phone to the patch panne and plug directly into the pannel.
To find what DN is on a port look at resources and Media Bay Module open it to the B1 channel.

These should be analog ports if the information given to me is correct. When I plug a phone into the patch panel, I get nothing, no buzz, no dial tone.

Media Bay Module is mentioned, how do I access that, the web gui? I just learning the BCM so am not that familiar with it.

Please help!! I need to add these extention within the next 2 days!

Thanks to All who help.

At this point I think it would be wise to invest in a visit from a local vender. An hour or so of labour could save you a huge headache if you don't figure it out off of Cook1082's post.

As for accessing the BCM, you will need to use IE but you'll probably also need to downgrade your Java. you have to be running something like JRE 5.15.
