Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone has had any success compiling ClamAV with ProFTP? Right now when I attempt to perform this I am placing the mod_clamav.c into the contribs subdirectory of ProFTP, running a configure and then make. The make is breaking everytime it gets to the clamAV module with the message:

clamav.h: No such file or directory

Obviously this is the header file, but I have been unable to find it anywhere. The documentation on the internet seems to suggest that the steps are as simple as 1, 2, 3. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Which distribution are you using? The Redhats often have libraries in odd places that make compiling from source a non-trivial exercise.

Fedora Core 3 is the RedHat distribution we are trying to use. This is just our test box, but eventually it will be running on AS 3.

Thanks

Do you have any kind of ClamAV development package installed? Normally the header files would be included with that?

Annihilannic.

Sorry for the late response. You were right Annihilannic, we needed the src package of ClamAV. From there we compiled the ClamAV module and then took the module and compiled it into the ProFTP source.

The limited documentation we found related to this didn't lay out that step, but I should have used common sense anyway.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.
