I have a windows 2000 network all of my client computers are xp professional. I'm having an issuse with remoting to a system with a dlink dwl- g520 wireless pci nic. The access point is a linksys wap54g. I'm running mac address filtering no ssid broadcast and wpa pre share key. If I'm running wpa I can't remote to the xp box but if I run wep I can remote fine. Also I don't know if it makes any difference but I'm using the dlink software to manage the nic.Basically if I launch remote desktop it tells me that the client could not connect to the remote computer. Has anyone here seen this problem before? Also I'm having an issuse where a user logs on I'll get a message that roaming profile can't be found. I'll want a few seconds after it logs them on with there local profile. Than I can resync with no proble. I than log off system log back in and it finds there profile with know proble. Its like the nic forgets is there sometimes. Should I let windows mange the nic instead of the dlink software?
