Profile Problems

I have an IBM think pad running XP pro with Office 2007. When I open up the help in word I get an xml style list of the contents. I can switch it back by changing the little down arrow next to search to any view. However when I open up word the next time it reverts to the xml view. I have another profile which doesn’t have the problem.

Any ideas?

Is your profile local to the machine or on the server?
Does it have the correct permissions to enable it to write back?
