Hi ppl - small question - how do you find out your profile password?? Novell Networks did something weird, and I can't work out what it is when logging in non-networked mode!

Delete *.pwl from c:\windows folder

this will make you creat a new windows password when you restart the pc.

Its best to leave this blank I think as it offers no security at all.

See ya

If you can't remember your password you should ask your adminstrator to take care of the problem. Your administrator has probably set your profile to require validation at login. Is there a reason you need to use your computer as a stand-alone and you can't address the issue with your administrator?

Passwords are maintained with 128-bit encryption for good reason. Not quite secure enough in my opinion.
