I'm certain that this is a longshot, but to not ask the question of the people that deal with this all the time would be neglegent. My business has an 8 year old cold fusion site which I have admin password for only partial pages. This was never an issue and site was outsourced before my time. However, now the vendor is long gone and the profile page needs updated. I'm searching for a way to crack the site admin to allow changing the profile page. Anyone with suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by inspecting the database tables and see if there is a small table holding the administrative type variables.
Second, start reading the content of the cfm files you see displayed in the address bar of your browser. You can post some of the code here for help interpeting it.
