I have a few users who consistently get "Cannot open Microsoft Outlook" on two of our 2000 clients. Other users can log onto these machines and not have any problems. I have deleted the profiles of those who are having issues in hopes that when the profile was recreated that it would allow them to open Outlook. This effort was fruitless. Also, the users who cannot open Outlook are having problems with their recycle bins. When they open their recycle bin a web browser page will open rather than the standard recycle bin. I have searched Microsoft's web site for both of these problems. I did find some solutions to the Outlook issue, but either the solution didn't apply to the problem or when the "fix" was implemented it did not correct the issue. I did not find anything on the recycle bin. I'm at a loss since there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Is there anyone out there who can provide guidance on this?? Please let me know.
