Sheet1 Sheet2
Date 5/01/01 Products date inventory date gone
usage 200 4/28/01 500 5/3/01
date 5/2/01
usage 200
date 5/3/01
usage 150
etc

On sheet #2 I need to enter a products date the inventory. Then a macro that will add the usage from sheet #1 for x amount days till the product will be gone. Then show what date the product will be gone by. My product has to go within 8 day's and I am trying to keep track of the inventorys with a macro instead of by hand.

Could help you more quickly with some more information:

1) How many different products do you wish to track?
2) Is your usage data coming from another software system, or will you be entering the data into this spreadsheet?
3) Do you have or intend to have useage projection or extimated useage?
4) Why is your data stacked vertical in sheet #1, instead of date and usage in separate columns?
5) Is it required that an exact date be calculated? Would a graphical or tabular display of when the inventory will hit zero or go negative be sufficient?
6) What if this task can be accomplished without a macro?

#1 21 products to track. #2 The data is coming from a excel spreadsheet. Each product has it's own file. #3 I do the projection myself I project out one week. I project on a thursday for the next week. #4 I did not setup this spreadsheet so I don't why they did not use separate columns. I'f needed I might be able to change it. #5 Yes I need the date the product will be used by, but i would like to know how to display it in that form. #6 How else to do this wothout a macro?
The product is milk I need to orded the correct amount without going over the expiration date of 9 days. I order say 500 cases for three days but I want to track that inventory and the date it was shipped out. Thanks for your help.

OK, now I get a better idea of the picture.

I will look into this more tonight....

OK, send a message to JVFriederick@Yahoo.com and I will send a file that I've worked on.
