Production MDX files in dBase IV are sure "touchy". Frequently when I say "use cn" or whatever a database name is, A box pops up "Production MDX file is0 damaged" and Reindex is highlighted. You hit enter and it says "Cannot recover the damaged index file,Press any key to continue." You do that and a box pops us "File already open. Use cn. Cancel." You can't get out of the loop. But if you copy the database to another name, that name indexes fine and works fine. What is going on?

Sounds lile "cn" is a reserved keyword. If the name change works then stick with the new name. There's always a better way...
