Product description

I have a situation that it seem a lot weird for me, Let's say I have this product: (Checked from inventory maintainance)
ID - 2031
Descryption - Blue pen

But when I make a PO and use that product the descryption is totally different from the one I have on the system, let's say it prints like:
ID - 2031
Descryption - Medium Eraser

As i said I go to product maintainance screen and there it shows the correct description, but not when printed at least from the PO.

Any idea why is this happening? where does this other descryption is taking it from

Have you checked the Report through Report Writer?

Yes I have, and this doesn't happend with all the products, as far as I noticed just this one.

I fpund what was happening, the description for the product for that vendor was wrong, I have fixed it.

Have you checked the Item Vendor Maintenance card for this Item? The Vendor Item description could be printing on the PO. If the Vendor card is setup with the wrong description or vendor item, that would explain the problem.

Vendor/Item description varies for every vendor you assigned the item to. This is very useful for companies who uses GP Manufacturing. We also use the Manufacturers Item in our PO.
