Producing A5-size PDF from Word under Windows XP

I have an A5-size document produced in MS-Word 2000. A previously converted it to PDF under Windows ME, with no problem--just selected custom size page in the print menu, set correct dimensions, and all went well. Now I have upgraded to Windows XP-Home. The print menu no longer includes custom-size pages. It does Postscript Custom Page Size, and I have tried that, but it seems to make no difference--the PDF is produced in the default paper size of A4.

Luckily my laptop still uses Windows ME, so I can produce with this. But I'd like to be able to do so under XP. Any ideas?
