producing a hand when over an image 1

How do i get a hand to appear when hovering over an image. i have an image that acts like a button, but for some reason i cannot get a hand to appear when you go over it. i know i missing something really simple, and it is boggeling my mind.

i tried that and it did not work, after some subtle changes i managed to be able to create the hand but when i clicked on it, the page it was supposed to go to caused an error. i think there is a better way to do this.

you can ad a style to the image:

<img style=&quot;cursor:hand&quot; src=&quot;yourImage.jpg&quot;>

thanks i knew it was something easy i was missing. this is what happens when you don't program in a language for a while. thanks for your help it worked.
